Patricia E. LaSalle is a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Rhode Island holding a Master’s Degree in Political Science with a focus in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She also earned a Family Financial Planning and Counseling Certificate from URI and a Collaborative Leadership Certificate from Rhode Island for Community & Justice. A driven professional with a passion for community engagement, Ms. LaSalle is currently employed by the Providence Public School District while serving as a Mayoral Commissioner for the Providence Human Relations Commission. In October 2018, Patricia LaSalle stepped into her role as President for the Community Action Partnership of Providence County. A mother of 3, Patricia enjoys an active lifestyle as an avid cyclist, and triathlon competitor. Some of Patricia's hobbies include dance and most recently, studying the art of being a DJ. "I am dedicated to the work of uplifting the Providence community because I am cut from the same cloth. I vividly remember standing in line at the food banks as a child with my mother when she could not make ends meet. I want to ensure the much needed services we provide are protected so that our families can experience the relief my family experienced during their most trying times."
