To qualify for weatherization services, residents must first be approved for LIHEAP (heating assistance).
Weatherization Assistance Program-WAP
Weatherization is designed to help low-income families reduce their energy burdens by making their homes more energy efficient. Services may include, attic, wall and floor insulation as well as testing of all boilers/furnaces, gas cooking appliances and water heaters to ensure that they are all running efficiently and not producing any harmful carbon monoxide gases.
Appliance Management Program: AMP
Residents receive a free energy audit to analyze energy usage and reduce energy bills. Education is offered and residents may qualify for replacement of inefficient appliances at not cost. LED bulbs are also installed to increase savings.
