Every year during the summer CAPP runs a Summer Youth Employment Program. It is a 6 to 8 week program for Providence Youth ages 14 to 24. The Youth go through a total of 120 paid hours of Work Readiness, Work Experience, and Enrichment Activities. The first 20 hours of the program are dedicated to train each participant in soft skills that will help them prepare in areas such as: Employer expectations, employees' responsibilities, communication, labor laws and much more.

The purpose is to bring together government, business leaders, youth, educators and community partners to address the complexities of youth unemployment, inspire career paths and impact in the lives of youth. In addition to the economic benefits of employment, youth gain valuable real-world work experience, problem-solving and life skills, and access to professional networks through educative and immersion experiences, while employers are able to help prepare the next generation of workers they need.
