CAPP, established in November of 2012, is a leading provider of social services in Providence, Rhode Island. The organization operates, promotes and supports the development of human service programs aimed at improving the lives of low-to-moderate income individuals and families living in Providence County. CAPP works to minimize poverty while empowering members of the community to be self-sufficient.

Our Mission & Purpose

In partnership with the community, we provide culturally competent supportive services and programs to Providence County residents in need to promote their achievement of economic self-sufficiency. We reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and empower low-income individuals and families to become self-sufficient by:

  • Creating economic, educational and other opportunities for and providing a range of services to low-income families and individuals
  • Mobilizing resources directed to the elimination of poverty
  • Educating the public on issues of poverty and community revitalization
