Deputy Director, Leadership Team
Norma is Deputy Director at CAPP. She is a native of Puerto Rico and has resided in Rhode Island for over 30 years. She has over 25 years of experience working in the human services field and is also a private clinical therapist. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College.
Norma oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization's programs and services. Prior to coming to CAPP she served as the Deputy Director & Interim Executive Director at Federal Hill House for 14 years, where she oversaw daily operations and ensured fiscal and program compliance for all agency services. She has extensive experience in evidence-based program development and implementation as well strategic planning and team building. As a certified Incredible Years Parent Trainer, she served as a consultant for Providence Center and Bradley Hospital, and also conducted research for Bradley Research Unit. Norma is a proud grandmother and a true humanitarian whose passion for service drives her unwavering commitment to her life’s work.
